The modern market is full of games that have long been forgotten. One of them is Castle of Heart — a project inspired by Slavic mythology and history. And although it received lukewarm reviews in 2018, the game is now returning as a remake called Castle of Heart: Retold.
The original, created by 7Levels studio, failed to win the attention of players and critics. The average score on Metacritic was 53%, which effectively scared off buyers at the time. But sales turned out to be high enough for the developers to decide to give the project a second chance.
Is it worth it? Usually, games with market potential and a recognizable name get remakes, but hardly anyone remembers Castle of Heart — only seven people played it simultaneously on Steam at the start. But, if you look at the comparison of versions, it is noticeable that the authors have done a tremendous job: they have reworked the visuals, controls, and animations.
