Jump Space, which fans have dubbed "Sea of Thieves in space," has unexpectedly become a major success for Keepsake Games. The game didn't launch in the best technical condition, but a series of updates and hotfixes have stabilized its performance.
Xbox Series X and S owners have seen a particularly noticeable improvement, with patch 0.4.10.105 significantly increasing stability.
The main cause of freezes was inefficient memory management. The developers have already fixed the issue on Series X, and have temporarily reduced texture quality for Series S "until a permanent solution is found."
Jump Space quickly entered the top ten most popular Xbox Store games, ranking alongside Helldivers 2, Dying Light: The Beast, and Borderlands 4. The project is also showing strong results on Steam, with over 22,000 concurrent players recently and an average rating of 88%.
The game is still in early access (Game Preview). A full release on PC and Xbox consoles is planned for 2026.
