The announcement was made on the Official Xbox Podcast, where game directors Yuji Nakao and Masazaki Hirayama revealed the first official details.
The expansion will take place after the events of the main story, providing fans with a new perspective through two characters: Ryu Hayabusa and Yakumo. Each hero will receive a unique weapon: Ryu will be able to use special gauntlet-pincers, and Yakumo will wield a giant scythe. This will add new combat mechanics and diverse playstyles.
In addition to the story, "The Two Masters" will offer new post-game challenges for those who want to test their skills above the "Master Ninja" difficulty. Hirayama noted that the team aims to provide "such an amount of content that interest is maintained even after completing the main story."
The DLC will be released in early 2026 and is included in the Deluxe Edition for $89.99, but it can also be purchased separately.
