Hazelight founder and game director Josef Fares recently visited Kojima Productions studio in Tokyo and shared his impressions of Hideo Kojima. In an interview, Fares spoke warmly about the meeting, praising the developer and the atmosphere in the studio.
"We had a great conversation. He's really cool, and I really like him. He's special in a good way, and he has a really cool office. It's a pity that people can't see it."
Fares emphasized that despite Kojima's legendary status in the gaming industry, he remains a down-to-earth and genuine person.
"Kojima is such a humble guy, really cool... He's just as humble as in interviews. He's really cool, and I really like him."
Both game directors are known for their unconventional approach to game development, and fans have long discussed what kind of creative charge could arise if they ever joined forces. Fares did not directly hint at collaboration, but his admiration for Kojima was obvious, and the visit left a strong impression.
"He's a unique person, and I like that. There's something crazy about him that I love."
It remains unknown whether the meeting will lead to anything more.
