After the release of Split Fiction in 2025, fans are wondering what Hazelight studio has in store. It is known that work on a new game has already begun, but it is not yet clear whether it will be a continuation of It Takes Two or a new project.
Hazelight's peculiarity is that you learn almost nothing about the project until the final stage — this was also the case with Split Fiction, which was fully revealed at the end of 2024 and released in the spring of 2025.
During an interview, game director Josef Fares confirmed that the studio is preparing something "amazing" with an "absolutely new level of experience" that even the Hazelight team doesn't know about yet.
"Oh my God. If I could tell... We're doing something amazing right now, but what's coming next — even my team doesn't know yet — it's really a new level of experience."
He added:
"We have so much to explore. What Hazelight has made a mandatory co-op, I would like to see more often. People like it, but we have only just begun to unlock the potential. The dynamics of two players on the couch or online, when they explore the story together, creates a unique experience. We have a project that inspires me a lot, and there are still plenty of opportunities for experimentation. I would like to tell you more, but that's how the industry works."
