The indie bullet hell game is expanding its multiplayer capabilities: now up to four players will be able to fight together online, unlike the current local co-op mode for two. The developers plan to release online co-op simultaneously with five other innovations and improvements included in update v1.14. There may also be a new playable character. There is no exact release date yet — the developers only mention the "autumn" window.
Since its launch in late 2022, the game has become a real phenomenon on all platforms, with around 11 million copies sold on Steam. The Poncle team has grown so much that it has created its own indie publishing label.
Online co-op in Vampire Survivors will appear in the fall on PC and consoles. Players will be able to team up with three comrades to explore levels. More players don't make the game easier, but that's not certain.
