The developers of Duet Night Abyss have announced the release date for their new free-to-play game. The Chinese studio has confirmed that the release will take place on October 28, 2025. The game will be released on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, as well as on mobile devices.
The main feature of the project is the complete rejection of the gacha system and aggressive microtransactions. The developers clarified that they will not sell heroes or weapons. Monetization will be limited to cosmetic items only — costumes and accessories that do not affect the balance. The publisher emphasized on the official website:
"All characters and weapons can be unlocked for free."
Duet Night Abyss is positioned as an experiment in the action role-playing game genre, similar in spirit to Genshin Impact and Wuthering Waves, but without financial pressure on players.
October 28 will reveal whether the new project can survive without the kind of microtransactions that have made HoYoverse's games global hits.
