Japanese actress Konatsu Kato spoke about the psychological difficulties she faced while playing Hinako Shimizu, the main character of Silent Hill f. The material contains minor spoilers.

Before the game's release, Kato admitted that she lost touch with reality during recording. Some time later, she shared details, explaining why the work turned out to be so difficult for her.

SPOILERS for Silent Hill f!

The actress said that the first recordings were calm, but as the plot developed, the sessions became more tense, reflecting the increase in psychological pressure in the story.

She often re-recorded the same scenes with changed lines and emotions — as in New Game+ mode or with different player choices. Then she began to wonder: "Who am I? What is Hinako doing? Where is she?"

Especially difficult were the scenes where two versions of Hinako interact. Kato admitted that she stopped understanding who she was — an actress or a character.

"Sometimes I would start crying without realizing why. The more time I spent with Hinako, the more confused I became. There were days when I felt like I was going crazy."

The actress admitted that the project became a real test for her. She remembers almost nothing about working on Silent Hill f — only individual fragments remain. The most vivid memory is the feeling that she lost herself.

At the same time, Kato admires Hinako as a character — despite her young age, she shows deep internal contradictions and maturity. But the actress added that she would never want to meet Hinako or find herself in the world of Silent Hill f:

"The very thought of it makes me afraid of going crazy. If I got there, I would want to instantly disappear."
