Microsoft is starting to label games that are fully ready to run on ROG Xbox Ally X and ROG Xbox Ally.
On October 16, new portable PCs created jointly by Microsoft and Asus will be released, which should set a new standard for mobile gaming. Windows-based devices provide full access to Xbox Game Pass, Steam, and other platform libraries. Their release is one of the key moments for the Xbox ecosystem in 2025.
Microsoft understands how important a quality experience is on portable devices. On Windows with the Xbox interface, players will have convenient access to games, integration with online services, and intuitive controls, combining the mobility of a console with the performance of a PC.
To ensure a high level of compatibility, the Xbox Handheld certification system has been launched, which will indicate whether the game is ready for portable mode. Performance, interface, and controls are tested, and after successful verification, the game receives the official Xbox Handheld Compatibility designation.
The system is similar to Steam Deck Verified from Valve. Games marked "Handheld Optimized" receive a green indicator, confirming full adaptation. Products with the label "Mostly Compatible" are marked in blue — they will work correctly but may require minor adjustments, such as resolution or controls.
