The developers of the Euro Truck Simulator 2 long-haul driver simulator have introduced a new free truck. Once again, SCS Software has returned to the topic of electric transport.
This time, the DAF XF Electric model has appeared in ETS 2. This DAF electric truck can now only be found in "Quick Contracts", where it is presented "in a 4x2 chassis configuration and equipped with a PACCAR EX-D2 electric motor. It is powered by five battery packs with a total capacity of 525 kWh." The maximum range is 350 kilometers.
The creators of Euro Truck Simulator 2 continue to refine the map in order to fully introduce electric transport into the game:
"As mentioned before, the transition to electric vehicles creates unique challenges in our virtual world. While our team is working hard to create the necessary infrastructure, traditional gas stations cannot simply be converted into charging stations without significant changes."
