Recently, the modder group Ringworld Studios announced the Halo Frostbite project and presented a trailer.
Chronologically, the events of Frostbite will unfold closer to the finale of Halo 2. The story will focus on an elite strike team sent to investigate a mysterious signal on the frozen planet Sidewinder:
«What begins as an unusual reconnaissance mission quickly turns into a deadly web of betrayal, secrets, and secret warfare between human and alien factions».
Modders noted that they are working on Halo Frostbite "not for the money", but for the community. The release is scheduled for Christmas 2026.
