In Russia, more and more attention is being paid to the gaming industry. There is a demand for control of video game content, and various laws are being proposed to ensure it.

Recently, an article dedicated to the Russian gaming industry appeared in Kommersant. It quotes the words of the Deputy Chairman of the IT Committee of the State Duma, who is already well known to domestic gamers.

The gaming industry is no longer on the periphery of the state's attention, Anton Gorelkin stated:

"There is a clear understanding of the importance of the influence of video game narratives, including on the external circuit, in order to promote the cultural code of Russia."

Hence, according to Gorelkin, comes "...the desire to establish appropriate legislative regulation, define transparent and understandable rules for the industry, expand opportunities for investment, and also realize the public demand for control of video game content."

Anton Gorelkin also expressed the opinion that Russian developers will not be able to do without state support when entering the markets of friendly countries - work is underway in this direction, and he has some thoughts on the forms of support:

"There is a corresponding instruction from the president, and work is underway in this direction. In my opinion, state support measures should necessarily include compensation for a certain amount of marketing expenses, advertising budgets that our studios and publishers allocate to promote their products."
