Ubisoft has once again turned its attention to The Crew series and taken a step that many are calling historic: The Crew 2 has received an offline mode. The developers have also announced plans for the third year of support for The Crew Motorfest.
The Crew 2 players can now switch between online mode and a new hybrid option that allows playing without an internet connection. The offline version lacks network elements — multiplayer, ratings, and car livery sharing. Ubisoft stated that this is an "important step for long-term access to the game." Gregory Corje, the series producer, noted that the update is a response to fans' requests for a single-player option.
The Crew Motorfest's third year of support will begin on November 5, 2025, with the start of Season 8. Players will receive two new playlists — Street Riders and BMW Heritage, a new betting system "Monkey Bet," and a "Free Race" mode with GPS navigation, new cars including the BMW M2 CS, new rims, and the ability to precisely adjust the car's position. Motorfest will also become an officially verified game on Steam Deck.
Ubisoft announced Season 9 (March 2026) as the largest update in the series: NASCAR content, a new location, reworked physics, the TrackForge track editor, and an RC car category with separate races. The third year of support will conclude in July 2026 with the launch of Season 10, the details of which are not yet known. Ubisoft emphasizes that both games will continue to evolve for a long time.
