Recently, IGN journalists decided to recall the games of the survival horror genre and compiled a list of the ten best projects.
This list does not include Resident Evil 4 and Dead Space, the journalists explained their vision:
«Despite the fact that Resident Evil is the most famous survival horror series, it has often slid towards being more action-oriented, especially with Resident Evil 4 through 6. This is also true of the entire Dead Space trilogy, which gives you more ammo than you'll ever use and focuses much more on action sequences and bombast than the desperate struggle for survival.»
