Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade is set to release on January 22, 2026, for Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch 2, and Square Enix has released a new trailer showcasing the iconic intro on all platforms.
Even if the comparisons to previous versions aren't what fans were expecting, it's nice to see the game running on the new systems.
For those worried about performance on the Switch 2, the game is confirmed to run at a stable 30 fps, requiring around 90GB for installation. A new Streamlined Progression feature has also been announced for both versions, allowing players to activate permanent max HP and MP, full ATB and Limit Gauges, and other bonuses.
This will allow players to focus entirely on the story. These features will be coming to PS5 and PC later. Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is also planned for release on Xbox Series X/S and Switch 2, but there is no exact date yet. The third and final part of the trilogy will be released on all platforms when the developers are ready for release.
