GamesVoice's activities have once again attracted the attention of players.
Recently, some players recalled that several years ago, GamesVoice presented trailers for the Russian voiceover of Max Payne 3. One of them had a link to the site, which was supposed to lead to the project page.
However, when trying to follow it, players were met with a "404 Not Found" error. The studio began to be accused of "silently removing all mentions of Max Payne 3 from its website."
A GamesVoice representative stated: "we never had any mentions of Max Payne 3 on our website."
Some players also wondered where the money went — hinting that the localizers allegedly conducted a fundraiser and have now gone silent (in reality, there was none).
During a discussion of another project — Enclave — the localizers spoke about their approach to working on projects for which no fundraising was conducted:
Community member question: "did the actors just record for free out of friendship?"
GamesVoice response: "everything is done in the remaining time from recordings. Many projects for which there were no fundraisers are written like that."
