Back in February, gamers from Russia pre-ordered the board games «Unmatched: The Witcher – Steel and Silver» and «Unmatched: The Witcher – Kingdoms Fall», dedicated to the «The Witcher» universe.
And today, the publisher GaGa Games shared not the most pleasant news regarding these projects. It became known that after the aforementioned board games passed the general inspection at customs, they were sent for special inspection.
There, the inspector reported that GaGa Games employees were importing these goods under the wrong code. A date has already been set for the case to be heard, but the team does not want to name it yet in order to avoid additional questions in case of any changes. The publisher hopes to talk about the state of affairs sometime in mid-November.
GaGa Games also filed a motion to take several copies of the board games, which it plans to send for examination (this will certainly help with determining the code). Further actions will depend on the customs and how the case will be considered.
Pre-order customers have the option to cancel their orders and get their money back for the board games if they do not want to wait for a solution to this problem. Currently, GaGa Games is doing everything in its power to free the games and start sending them to pre-order participants. Plus, the publisher will be very grateful to everyone who is willing to wait a little longer.
