In an interview, Nicolas Doucet emphasized that the PS5 has a key advantage over PC due to the uniformity of the hardware platform—one hardware configuration, two including the PS5 Pro, which allows developers to optimize the experience for all players.
"Specific hardware that is fully tuned. It allows us to focus. That's why I've always liked consoles."
He added that while PCs today are less diverse in configurations than before, they still do not offer the same degree of precise tuning. In his opinion, the console approach is convenient due to the plug-and-play principle, and the SSD and other features of the PS5 are impressive even five years after the platform's launch.
