A test version of the first major patch for Hades 2 after its release has been released on Steam. The update focuses on the ending, which caused controversy in the community.
A month has passed since the release of the first sequel in Supergiant Games history, and the studio has presented a full update (after a minor hotfix earlier this month). So far, it is only available as a "preview", but the list of changes has already been published.
Patch 1 includes standard improvements — balancing blessings and bonuses, fixing interactions between various improvements, refining levels and visuals, and eliminating many major and minor bugs.
The main innovation is the reworking of the ending. The developers did not change it completely, but added new events and scenes leading to the "true" ending. This should make the ending more eventful and coherent. Now, to see the ending, players will have to go through the Underworld more times than before.
The full list of changes is published on the Hades 2 page on Steam at link. The developers clarified that the patch is still in testing, and the official release date has not been announced.
