The Pokémon Company has published the first sales data for Pokémon Legends: Z-A, and everything indicates that the brand still enjoys the trust of players. The new installment in the series sold 5.8 million copies in the week since its release.
The game went on sale on October 16, 2025, and is available on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. Interestingly, half of all copies sold were for the new console version. In Japan alone, the project sold 1.48 million copies, becoming one of the best releases of the year in that region.
Pokémon Legends: Z-A did not break the record, as Pokémon Legends: Arceus reached sales of 6.5 million copies in the same period.
