Pacific Drive has been suddenly added to Xbox Game Pass. Previously, the Ironwood Studios project was showcased at State of Play, received individual trailers, and was considered an exclusive for PS5 and PC.
It seems the exclusivity period has come to an end: without any announcements, Pacific Drive has become available on Xbox Series X|S consoles as part of the Game Pass subscription.
Microsoft did not announce plans to include the game in the service.
The game has received positive reviews. Pacific Drive combines survival, exploration, and driving simulation. The player controls an old car, exploring the fictional Olympic Peninsula zone, trying to avoid dangerous anomalies. The car can be repaired, upgraded, and customized in the garage, and each foray into the world is a risky but exciting adventure.
The project scored around 80% on Metacritic. Reviewers noted the atmosphere, interesting car design, and the feeling of isolation, creating tension. Despite the complexity and occasional repetitiveness, Pacific Drive has become one of the most original indie projects of recent years.
Additionally, the developers released the DLC Whisper in the Woods
