According to a report by Alinea, Ghost of Yotei, released on October 2, is selling better on PS5 than Assassin’s Creed Shadows, released on March 20. Although the Ubisoft project started strong and showed good results in the first weeks, sales quickly began to decline.
Meanwhile, Ghost of Yotei maintains a high pace, and analysts do not rule out that the game will reach or exceed the overall result of Ghost of Tsushima.
So far, Assassin’s Creed Shadows retains the advantage in the overall statistics — mainly due to the release on Xbox and PC. But Ghost of Yotei is only available on PS5, and if it appears on Steam over time, the figures will probably increase.
On Metacritic, the game received 86 points from critics and 8.2 from players, while Shadows received 81 and 6.2, respectively.
Both games have caused controversy online, but the main wave of criticism fell on the Ubisoft project, due to the interpretation of the image of the samurai Yasuke.
