Spencer described the platform as a step towards full integration, providing unified access to all games, regardless of the device being used. In other words, the console could become a hybrid of PC and Xbox, united in one ecosystem.
The inspiration for the idea came from the ROG Xbox Ally - a portable device resembling a console, but in reality, a mini-PC. According to Spencer, this is "the first step" towards creating a new Xbox model where the gaming experience becomes as universal as possible.
The platform will continue the Play Anywhere concept, allowing users to buy a game once and play it on both PC and console. Microsoft is betting on flexibility.
Xbox President Sarah Bond confirmed that the console will be a premium device, carefully crafted in every detail. Players should expect high performance, but also likely a higher price compared to the PS6, as confirmed by numerous rumors.
