Some races appreciate a particularly hot climate.
Paradox Interactive has released a trailer for the Infernals Species Pack expansion for the Stellaris space global strategy game.
The developers will present a new type of planet "Volcanic Worlds", a crisis path for the player "Burning Worlds" and other content, including civic models and origins:
"Dawn of the Universe": When the galaxy was still young, and the planets were just hot balls, your race was already wandering among the stars. Over time, the planets began to cool, and you hid beneath the surface of your home world. However, along with the recently awakened volcanoes, your people have partially awakened as well. Free the rest by excavating your home world, and set out to the stars in search of other survivors.
Red Giant: The star that once gave life to your planet now threatens to destroy it. The rapid expansion of the star heats other planets in the system to enormous temperatures. Your task is to find out what led to this. Can you stop this process or reverse it? Or maybe you will accept the impending changes, and any adversity is only for the better?
Stellaris: Infernals Species Pack is expected to be released on November 25, 2025.
