The developers of "Korea. IL-2 Series" recently presented a new teaser. 1C Game Studios told a little about the work on the effects.
The visibility of the exhaust of a piston engine will be different at night and during the day:
We were able to work on this in "Korea". In addition, we now have flashes of piston engine pipes, and, of course, if surge happened on a jet engine, they will have light sources that illuminate the aircraft.
Artists had to create their own effect for each pipe shape.
The authors of "Korea. IL-2 Series" also published an example of a jet engine start procedure.
