But Halo: Campaign Evolved will not get PvP. As representatives of Halo Studios said in an interview, the goal of the project was not to replace the original. Executive Producer Damon Conn said:
"We're not trying to replace a masterpiece. We want to create a game that stands next to it, using new technologies and energy, but respecting the legacy."
The developers focused on a cooperative campaign for four players, crossplay, and shared progression - for the first time in Halo history on PlayStation.
"This is not just a single-player game. Halo has always brought people together, allowed them to share stories and experiences. We want to preserve the sense of community."
Since this is a remake, the studio is likely preparing resources for the next main installment in the series.
Halo: Campaign Evolved will be released in 2026 on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
