The franchise almost got a multiplayer project.
Journalists at mp1st were able to obtain information and materials about the canceled God of War multiplayer game.
The GoW project was being developed by Bluepoint Games. mp1st published a selection of frames that allow us to evaluate some models, interiors, caves, as well as architecture - in some places it looks as if it was taken from God of War (2018) and Ragnarok:
The first notable detail we notice when looking at the footage is that the game was planned to take place in Greece. This is evidenced by the presence of Greek temples, ceramics, and other details [...] In addition to the exterior of the temple, we can see other rooms, such as caves and interiors, which appear to have been designed to accommodate multiple players, such as an armory filled with weapons and shields.
Sources said that Hades played a certain role in this project - he was the owner of the arsenal, i.e. chronologically the events were supposed to unfold before God of War 3 (if this project was conceived as "canon"). It was also assumed that the locations could have two states: normal and "cursed".
However, this God of War game was ultimately canceled.
