Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodlines 2 had a very unsuccessful launch. Players and critics met the role-playing game with coldness, and now publisher Paradox Interactive has decided to intervene and promised to quickly fix the situation.
The company stated that it is closely monitoring feedback and has already released the first hotfix 1.0.1 — so far only for PC. PS5 and Xbox Series X|S owners are still waiting for the patch. The update eliminates some cases of the game freezing. According to Paradox, a major update with bug fixes and performance improvements will be released this week.
The publisher also confirmed that it plans to add several popular features to Bloodlines 2 as soon as possible:
- field of view (FOV) adjustment;
- the ability to disable HUD elements;
- the ability to disable motion blur.
The fixes are really necessary: the game's rating on Steam remains low. Only 54% of more than 1,000 user reviews contain a recommendation. Previously, players massively complained about technical problems and poor optimization.
