Earlier this week, Retroid announced two handheld consoles, Pocket 6 and Pocket G2. Today, the developers reported that they received a lot of negative feedback from users regarding one of these new products.
Many people didn't like the placement of the buttons and speakers at the bottom of the Pocket 6. Gamers think it looks like an old PlayStation Portable or a kind of portable DVD player.
Also, certain players don't like that the left stick is at the bottom, and they would prefer it to be swapped with the D-pad. Retroid employees have already launched a survey regarding the console's redesign.
60.3% of those surveyed want the left stick to move up, and 68.3% prefer the new Pocket 6 design. This console has a 5.5-inch AMOLED screen (1920x1080, 120 Hz), a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, 8/12 GB LPDDR5x RAM, 128/256 GB UFS 3.1 internal memory, a 6000 mAh battery, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, and Android 13 OS.
You can already pre-order the Pocket G2 on the official Retroid website, but the page with Pocket 6 pre-orders is currently disabled. A full list of prices for these devices can be found in the previous news.
