The shooter is becoming increasingly "gluttonous," and fans don't like it.
For quite some time, PC gamers have been pointing out a problem with Helldivers 2 — the game is "massive," and in some cases, its size exceeds 150 GB and starts moving towards 200. Tech enthusiasts have noted that various game assets can be duplicated multiple times on PC, leading to an increase in "weight."
Arrowhead Game Studios CEO Shams Jorjani responded to a question about "whether there are plans for an SSD version for PC, since the game still weighs 100 GB more than on consoles?" which was published in the Helldivers 2 Discord* community.
The developer replied briefly: "This is something we are investigating."
Then he received another question, "Are you considering completely abandoning support for HDD drives?" — the authors of Helldivers 2 are also "considering" this option.
