A new rumor has surfaced that Valve has started working on a Half-Life 3 trailer. The company has been silent about the continuation of the cult series for many years — all that is known is based on leaks, datamines, and rare rumors.
It was previously reported that the next part would be the "final chapter" of the franchise. Now it is claimed that a video with the code name HLX or HL3 is already in production.
The source of information is the new issue of "HLX Files" from blogger Tyler McVicker. He stated that "there is currently a rumor that a trailer is already being created." According to him, Valve's approach to creating trailers differs from large public studios.
Usually announcements happen about a year before the release, but Valve is allegedly going to release Half-Life 3 and announce it almost simultaneously, as it was with Half-Life: Alyx.
McVicker noted that when trailers are made long before release, developers have to "partially fake" the content being shown, creating specially prepared scenes.
It was previously reported that Half-Life 3 can already be completed from start to finish, and Valve's new SteamVR headset has reportedly entered mass production.
