In the foreseeable future, thanks to the board game «Nova Roma», Russian-speaking gamers will be able to lead Roman houses, engage in resource extraction, take control of sea routes, and earn the emperor's respect.
Employees of the «Evrikus» publishing house reported that they have started working on the localization of the board euro-game «Nova Roma» by game designer Stanislav Kordonsky.
In this project, designed for 1-4 people, people will have the opportunity to lead noble Roman houses. With the help of in-game family members and servants, gamers will have to achieve a variety of goals.
It will be necessary to erect buildings, control sea routes, extract resources, participate in races at the hippodrome, and hire specialists in all kinds of fields. At the end of the game, the winner will be the family that has done the most to please the emperor.
According to «Evrikus», in «Nova Roma» there is room for strategic decisions and the use of various tactics for obtaining victory points. The board game combines several mechanics, but the most interesting and often confusing when making a decision is the action selection mechanic.
When exactly the pre-order for «Nova Roma» will open in Russia, unfortunately, is still unknown.
