In the latest stream, the developers announced that Ichiban, the hero of the Yakuza / Like a Dragon series, will be added to the game on November 6, 2025.
A special festival will start with this character from November 7 to 10, where players will be able to receive unique rewards. The new content is part of a regular update cycle, which recently added Joker. Hatsune Miku is planned to appear in the future, but the release date is not yet known.
Interestingly, the creators of Yakuza initially doubted whether Ichiban was suitable for the bright and chaotic world of Sonic Racing. But in the end, they agreed to the collaboration, giving players the opportunity to see how a hero with a gangster past copes on karting tracks. Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is now available on Nintendo Switch, and a version for Nintendo Switch 2 is in preparation for release.
