If the system believes that an interlocutor may be suspicious, a special notification will appear. All links in the chat will be inactive until the user confirms that they have seen the warning.
Following links from strangers is often dangerous. The new feature is especially useful for young players who have not yet developed a critical attitude towards suspicious messages.
The feature is currently only available in beta, but will soon be available to all users. The update also improved the assignment of Xbox 360 controller buttons and fixed an issue with launching some games immediately after purchase.
If someone sends a link to free skins or third-party sites, it is better not to click on it. To participate in beta feature testing, you need to go to Settings → Interface → Steam Beta Update and subscribe to the beta client.
