They gained access to parents' money through minors.
It recently became known about the detention in Russia of a YouTube blogger and several of his alleged accomplices.
According to police, a blogger from Kurgan may be involved in dozens of episodes of fraud. He conducted live broadcasts and released videos in which he gave tips for completing levels in the game.
Under the guise of helping teenagers, he posted a phone number and a link to a chatbot, supposedly where you could get game currency. In practice, the victim was transferred to a private chat, where accomplices asked to take a photo of their parents' bank card, as well as send them the codes received via SMS. This data was used to withdraw money.
According to preliminary estimates, the damage from the actions of the fraudsters is at least 5 million rubles. A criminal case has been initiated under Part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud on an especially large scale).
