Pre-orders for Grand Theft Auto 6 have not yet opened, and there are various rumors surrounding the pricing policy. For example, some expect the price to reach $100.
There are people for whom such a price tag for GTA 6 is quite justified. Recently, voice actor Jay Klaitz, who played Lester in GTA 5, shared his vision in a conversation with The Escapist.
In his opinion, the next installment of the franchise will be able to offer a lot of content, so such a price is deserved. However, he also believes that Rockstar will be able to find a compromise and offer a more affordable price so that as many fans around the world as possible can purchase GTA 6.
There was so much motion capture in GTA 5. I imagine GTA 6 will be the same, because it takes so long to make these games. Years, years, years. They weren't just hanging out, relaxing, and then only started working last year. They finished GTA 5 and almost immediately started on GTA 6.
[Working on such a project] takes forever, and, as we saw with GTA 5, the game will be released, there will be other versions, there will be downloadable content, there will be an online part. When you buy one game, you are actually buying several.
I would also like the game to be more accessible to more fans, so I understand why it's important to make it accessible to people. That's great too. Maybe there's a way to separate these two factors [find a compromise], but I agree with the opinion that such a game justifies its price tag.
