Anti-piracy systems always cause controversy. Announcements about their implementation are traditionally accompanied by discussions and criticism.
Capcom's plans to protect the new installment in the series appeared on the game's Steam page. Two details are listed there:
- Use of Denuvo anti-piracy software.
- Activation limit — the game can be "linked" to a maximum of five PCs per day.
This cannot be considered a shocking decision, as the company has already used Denuvo along with its own solutions. Such protection is a logical continuation of Capcom's policy, but it is not a fact that fans will be satisfied.
Denuvo has long been controversial in the community due to technical nuances and the impact on game performance. Creators often shift the blame for criticism onto pirates, which only increases dissatisfaction. Every new game with Denuvo invariably faces criticism.
