Roblox announced that in 2025, game developers received $1 billion through the Developer Exchange program, exceeding the $923 million figure in 2024. This is the first time that payments have reached this level in a calendar year.
At the conference, Roblox also announced an 8.5% increase in the Robux to dollar conversion rate, to 0.0038 per Robux. Now 30,000 Robux costs $114 instead of $105.
According to the company, the top 1,000 creators earn an average of $1.1 million, which is 40% more than a year ago. Developer revenue for the third quarter amounted to $427.9 million, an increase of 85% year-on-year. 47% of authors would not be able to earn without Roblox, and only 25% have a university education. 74% of developers work alone.
The most popular games are created by users, such as Grow A Garden and Steal A Brainrot, which have attracted millions of simultaneous players. Users can earn money by selling in-game items.
Audience growth is noted on mobile and PC. According to NewZoo, the player base is aging, but activity remains: the growth of players over 13 years old was 54% year-on-year.
Questions about the safety of children remain. Roblox is expanding parental controls and is looking for Parents Council members for feedback.
