The report for the third quarter (July–September) indicates that the latest major installment in the series, Sonic Frontiers, is approaching the five million copies sold mark. Another game, Sonic Superstars, is also showing stable results — 2.43 million copies sold.
The mobile runner Sonic Dash has already reached 676 million downloads, and Sega hopes that the app's success will help promote the recently launched Sonic Rumble project.
As for Sonic Racing: Crossworlds, the game was released only at the end of September and was not included in the current report. But it was previously reported that it exceeded the million sales mark in less than a month. All this confirms that interest in Sonic remains high, which inspires optimism before the release of the fourth film about the blue hedgehog, scheduled for early 2027. Before that, Sega is expected to announce or release a new game in the Sonic universe.
