Mike Pondsmith said in an interview that he already knows how the character can appear in the sequel and is ready to cooperate with famous actors.
In a special REDstreams broadcast on October 30, which featured Pondsmith, he shared new information. In particular, he said that if he were creating the world again, he would do some things differently.
Pondsmith admitted that there is a way to bring Johnny Silverhand back. Referring to Keanu Reeves' statement in September about his willingness to play the rocker again, Mike said:
"I recently heard that Keanu wants to find a way to come back and play Johnny again. I have a way, Keanu, get in touch with me."
The exact details of the implementation are not disclosed, but this is not an easy task, since the character physically died decades ago, and his status, depending on the endings of Cyberpunk 2077, can be called "complex." Pondsmith seems to know how to solve this problem.
The creator also expressed a desire to see other actors in the game. Admiring the roles of Reeves and Idris Elba, he noted:
"Let's get one thing straight. You have Keanu Reeves, and Idris Elba. What's next? Scarlett Johansson? Scarlett, you know, I have roles for you. You can do anything."
Cyberpunk 2 is currently in the pre-production stage, so details about the cast will appear later.
