The MMORPG World of Warcraft has been available on PC for many years. There are players who would like to see a console version of the project, but Blizzard is in no hurry to announce it.

Recently, rumors about the development of a console port of WoW have resurfaced: some players believe that the developers are deliberately simplifying various elements of the game so that the project can be released on consoles.

Now, a denial has come from the game director of World of Warcraft. Ion Hazzikostas stated during the Unshackled Fury podcast:

Honestly, we have no reason to hide anything. If we were actively working on porting World of Warcraft to consoles or other platforms, we would say: \"We are actively working on it.\" We are still focused on the PC version.
Many of these changes [in WoW Midnight] collectively aim at accessibility in general. World of Warcraft is an incredibly complex game. And while I know that some members of the community value that complexity, I think there's a big difference between a very high skill ceiling in the game, incredible depth, and just, you know, complexity. Blizzard's goal is to make all of our games \"easy to learn and nearly impossible to master\"
