Square Enix has released an update for the version available on Steam and the Epic Games Store, adding enhancements that improve smoothness and stability. The developers are calling the patch one of the most significant for PC gamers.
Game director Naoki Hamaguchi confirmed that the update not only fixes bugs and optimizes performance, but also introduces new NVIDIA DLSS 4 technologies with Multi Frame Generation and DLSS Frame Generation. The DLSS Super Resolution system has also been improved, enhancing image quality and scene detail.
The innovations should make Final Fantasy VII Rebirth noticeably more stable and visually accurate on modern computers. Players are reporting smoother FPS and reduced artifacts during rapid frame changes.
The update is available for download on Steam and the Epic Games Store.
