A statement has been published on the studio's website, where the team announced its intention to "reformat itself" into an independent production company. The developers are now focused on finding partners and funding to bring their ideas to life.

CEO Zak noted:

"We believe that the future of the independent gaming industry belongs to studios capable of combining creativity with discipline, vision with responsibility, and independence with sensible partnership."

The revival of T-Minus Zero comes against the backdrop of a wave of closures that swept through gaming companies in 2025. It was also recently announced that NetEase is closing the Fantastic Pixel Castle studio, laying off all employees.

It is not yet known what the updated T-Minus Zero will do, but the team stated that it is already working on a new concept for future games.
