Kirby Air Riders came as a surprise to fans. Following the success of Mario Kart World, the company opted for a racing format, but now the action takes place in the vibrant, fairytale world of Kirby. The project looks massive, and the fresh gameplay snippets confirm that Nintendo is betting on a major release.
Although the video is only available in Japanese, it provides a detailed demonstration of the mechanics, interface, and visual details. At the end of the trailer, the company showcased a new collection of amiibo figures based on the game's vehicles and characters. They will unlock cosmetic items in Kirby Air Riders.
The developers have confirmed that a launch update will be released alongside the game. Game director Masahiro Sakurai noted that DLCs are not currently planned.
