PlayStation users have once again noticed differences in the prices for the same games in the PlayStation Store. Suspicions that Sony is using "dynamic pricing" are returning.
New evidence has emerged on Reddit: one player noticed that Red Dead Redemption 2: Ultimate Edition cost $19.99 for him, but $14.99 on his wife's account, despite having the same region and currency.
Similar cases were already recorded in 2024, for example, with Astro Bot. The dynamic pricing mechanism works like in ticketing systems or e-commerce: the platform analyzes user behavior and adjusts the price.
Sony has not yet commented on the reports, but players fear that personalized prices may become the standard in digital game sales.
