Some sports simulators already offer players "open worlds" (hubs). Recently, information began to appear online about such a mode for the famous EA Sports FC football simulator franchise.
Playtesters have published a map and some screenshots from open world tests for EA Sports FC.
The following game modes are already known: Kickabouts Rush; Balloon Ball; Closest To The Pin; Draw The Line; Foot Tennis.
For example, in "Draw The Line", players will be asked to move the ball in such a way that the trajectory "draws figures", for which points will be awarded (accuracy will be more important than goals scored).
Balloon Ball is something like dodgeball, and in "Closest To The Pin" you will need to launch the ball closer to a given target.
