While most studios try not to release their games near GTA 6, publisher Devolver Digital has chosen the opposite strategy. The company intends to present its mysterious project on the same day that the new Rockstar game comes out.
The publisher announced this plan back in March. Later, when Rockstar moved the release of GTA 6 to May 26, 2026, Devolver immediately announced that it was also moving its premiere to that date. And when the new postponement became known, the publisher again followed the competitor.
"You can't escape us. Let it be November 19, 2026," Devolver representatives wrote on social networks. Whether this is a real decision or a sophisticated joke is still unclear. There are still no details about the game itself.
Despite the obviously ironic tone, the post quickly gained popularity. Users are joking that they are already ready to buy the mysterious game just to support the publisher in its "battle with GTA 6."
