The key feature of the armor is not working yet.
In Minecraft, they started testing netherite horse armor. Not everyone believed the developers and decided to independently check the "fire resistance" of the armor.
A quick experiment by user _cetera_ with lava showed that fireproof armor from Minecraft burns well.
For some reason, different netherite items were calmly immersed in lava without consequences, and the new armor for the horse was instantly destroyed.
It is assumed that the authors of Minecraft simply forgot to enable the setting for the "fire resistance" to work. Mojang has already acknowledged the error and is preparing a fix.
