Almost ten years after its release, Pokemon GO remains one of the most popular mobile games in the world. Every day, thousands of trainers catch, evolve, and trade creatures, and events and limited raids still attract huge audiences.
The approaching 10th anniversary has become a symbol of the brand's endurance, but at the same time revealed an unexpected problem — there are almost no new Pokémon left in the game.
As Reddit users noted, Pokemon GO has for the first time approached the point where there will simply be no fresh creatures left to add. After the latest event, which featured Impidimp, Morgrem, and Grimmsnarl, the number of Pokémon in the game reached 926 out of the existing 1025. This means that only 99 have not been added. The first, second, third, fifth, and sixth generations are already completely closed, and from the fourth only Arceus, Manaphy, and Phione remain.
It's too early to panic. Fans have recalled that future tenth-generation games under the working title Wind and Wave will bring new creatures. Also, not all forms like mega-evolutions and Dynamax have appeared in Pokemon GO yet. It seems that Niantic has a stock of ideas, and the final filling of the Pokedex is still far away.
