After the success of The Exit 8 and its sequel Platform 8, Japanese indie developer Kotake Create has unveiled a new project — Pale Dots.
The game was previously known under the working title Strange Shadow and was initially planned for release in 2025, but the release has now been postponed indefinitely.
Kotake Create announced that they will update the Steam page soon, and a new release date will be announced later. The developer apologized to fans and explained that the postponement is due to the project's refinement process. According to him, the screenshots and trailer on the Pale Dots page refer to an old build, but it is already known that this is a third-person 3D horror game set in space.
The main character is an astronaut who crash-landed on an unknown planet. He has to hide from huge creatures and look for a way to return home. The gameplay is based on various actions that help to survive and escape from a dangerous world.

Pale Dots is being developed for PC and will be released on Steam.
